Magnetic Objects Treasure Hunt in the Bath

Our magnetic objects treasure hunt bath was a really simple concept, but my son had a lot of fun with this one!  I used our set of magnet chips, and marbles, as well as some other bath friendly magnetic objects I found around the house such as metal lids, plastic coated paper clips, jingle bells, and letter magnets.
I tried to find things that were as "ouchless" as possible.

I put all the magnetic objects into the bath, leaving some clear space at the end for him to sit. (However, he ended up scooting all over the tub and the objects didn't seem to bother him a bit)  I "hid" the objects by covering the top of the water with shaving cream. However, the shaving cream isn't necessary to have fun...grabbing all the objects with the wand is lots of fun in itself!

I added an adhesive magnet sheet to the wall as an added play element.

Our magnetic wand was used to "hunt" for his underwater magnet treasures.
This was his treasure find on his very first try!

Never leave a child unnattended in the bath. An adult should be present and within arms reach at all times.
My son is 4, but this bath contained small items that could be choking hazards to babies and toddlers,
so it is best suited for older children.

This could also be an out of the bath activity using a string tied to the wand, OR using your own homemade magnetic fishing pole such as the one below!
