  1. Do you know if these survive for the following year? I am guessing my attic would melt them.

    1. These should last I know I made this with my class at school about 19 years ago and mine is still in perfect condition..Just make sure to wrap it in the same wrap you would use for fragile ornaments when storing it after the Christmas season..

  2. Hmmm, now that i'm not sure of. They seem pretty sturdy (for just being sugar) and when I hot glued the string onto them it didnt melt it at all but i'm sure about a hot attic all summer. I guess if you don't want to mess with it at least they are cheap and easy to make again for next year! :)

  3. Couldn't you use 1 teaspoon of elmers glue instead of water? That might allow them to last longer.

Hmm..I'm not sure about the glue, but it would be worth a try! Let me know how it turns out! :)

  5. Did you use wax paper under the ornament?

  6. I didn't use wax paper. I left mine on the plate until it dried, but you definately could use wax paper.

  7. The ones we made stuck to the plate and then broke/crumbled when we tried to take them off. Maybe they didn't dry fully? My kiddos loved them, so I want to try it again. Thanks for the great tips.

  8. I would leave the glitter out and maybe press some sprinkles on top.
Of course, I have a 3 yo that will, most likely, eat them! LOL
