Epsom Salt and Diamonds Sensory Bin

Sensory Bin

I created this simple sensory bin with regular epsom salt and plastic diamonds and jewels. We did this during our White Themed Week in our Color of the Week Series.  Epsom salt is sparkly on it's own and it smells perfum-y as well, but to see how we've colored and scented it in the past, click HERE.

This bin was so sparkly and pretty!

  1. is epsom salt an eye irritant? Or a hazard if small children would eat it? I noticed the post about making sure that children are supervised, so I was just wondering if there are any risks. Its so pretty and would be fun to use, I just wanted to know what to tell the families I work with in case they have questions.
    Thanks!
