This idea came about purely by accident as I was attempting to hot glue something onto cardboard but it didn't stick. I thought the glue gun swirls looked cool, so I started "drawing" designs on the cardboard. Rather than just throwing it away, I figured L could paint over the hot glue designs and perhaps it would look cool, or at least he'd like doing it...something a bit different.
Turns out, both were true!
He liked fingerpainting better than using a brush because he liked to feel the raised glue
After drying it looked like this
and then he did one more on regular white paper
A pretty neat activity to come about by accident

I love this idea! Fits in nicely with the magic painting we did last week. Children will love it as they get to use the glue gun!
