It's cheap, it's fun, it's easy to clean up, and there's lots of ways to play with it! In my opinion it's a must have item in the kids art/activity supply closet!

ReplyDeleteLove this list. My favorite is the toys in shaving cream. it is like pretend snow for the cars to drive through!
ReplyDeleteOne word of caution though: When I was younger, my cousins and I made a shaving cream slip n' slide and one of my cousins broke out in a horrible, painful rash. Apparently it did not agree with his skin.
This post was great and I really want to give shaving cream a try with my daughter, but have a quick question. Do you ever have any worries about the chemicals in the shaving cream and whether they're good for kids (or adults, for that matter!)? Is there a particular brand you use?

ReplyDeleteVery cute idea!I had never seen the one with the slide. My kids will love that. We did an Easter egg hunt in shaving cream a while back. http://asdplaytime.blogspot.com/2012/04/sensory-easter-egg-hunt.html We stuck the eggs all over our clothes after we found the eggs. It was fun:)

ReplyDeleteI used to play with shaving creams when I was a kid. Now I am just using it to clean my face. Shaving creams can also clean other things at home but I don’t usually do that because it is expensive.

ReplyDeleteI use this all the time in my preschool and with my grandkids. I only use the "original" no scents or extras additions added. I have never had a child have a problem with this kind. It is also easier to clean up this kind.
