Paper Bag Puppets

With the heat already in the 90's and the humidity too, there's just parts of the day that I don't want to be outside. It's nice to have a few of those simple and well known fun activities to fall back on and paper bag puppets is one of them. Making them is actually a first for us and L had so much fun making and playing with his.
I made one too of course. L's "Mr. Monster" had to have a friend to play with afterall!

L said his puppet had "girly hair" and that mine was naked (I didn't color mine)

  1. Just wanted to say, I love your blog! I've spent the last week or so reading through your archives and sticking ideas on my Pinterest for things to do with my little boy. Your L is so cute! I love his little glasses.

My son Toby is 3.5. He was born in Arkansas (born at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, stayed in the Springdale NICU for 3 weeks because he was 7 weeks premature.) We lived in Bentonville (right on the border of Centerton) for a year, 2007-2008. Your pictures and stories really make me wish we had stayed longer! We ended up moving to my home state of Utah after a year, to be closer to my family. I was deathly ill the whole time we lived in AR and couldn't leave the house much, so I was pretty miserable while living there. I think we might have to visit again someday - reading your blog has made me remember some of the good things I experienced in AR :) It IS a very beautiful state and I wish I'd explored/hiked around more!

Anyway blah blah, total stranger pouring out life story! Yikes! Your blog is fantastic and keep posting! I'll let you know how Toby takes to some of these crafting experiences - I am not the greatest crafty parent so this'll be a new thing for both of us!

  2. I love your blog. I have a grandson and you've given me lots of fun things to do with him. I also love the appliqued monkey the little boy is wearing in the paper monkey bag pic. Where can I find that applique? Thank you!
