Sticky Salt Painting

L did such a neat project today. Salt painting.
It takes your basic watercolor painting to a different level.

What you Need

Basic table salt
contact paper
watercolors and a paintbrush

What you Do

1. Cover the entire sticky side of the contact paper with salt
2. Use a paintbrush and watercolors or even fingers to paint the "salt paper"
3. If you'd like to keep it, you can let the salt painting dry overnight

What's so neat about this is the movement of the salt while painting. It makes a really neat effect.
He also used his fingers to push the salt around which makes "paths" within the painting.

The colors also spread and bleed into unpainted salt, which L thought was pretty cool.
He said "the colors are moving!"

Very simple but lots of fun!
